1. The MS Program in Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience (MDR3) at National Taiwan University invites applicants for one Non-Tenure Track Faculty Position (Assistant Professor or above), starting from February 1, 2025. A doctoral degree and capability of teaching in English are required. “Disaster and society, Disaster preparedness and management, Policy and governance for disaster risk and resilience, Community-based adaptation, Environmental change and sustainable development” at graduate levels. Graduate courses have to be taught in English. Experience in disaster risk and resilience in the Global South and/or in climate and environmental justice will be considered as high priority.
2. Documents required for application include:
(1) Curriculum Vitae including nationality, date of birth, education background, summary of research field (within 250 words), current position, working experience, the publication list within past seven years (please provide corresponding full-text papers in PDF files, published after February 1, 2018).
(2) A cover letter indicating a commensurate position (Project Assistant, Project Associate, or Project Professor) to be applied and one designated representative paper. The representative paper should be published in international journals and published within the past five years (after February 1, 2020). For applicants applying as a Project Assistant Professor and who received their doctoral degree within the past three years (after February 1, 2022), their dissertation can be considered as the representative paper.

(4) Teaching plans (Please provide at least 3-4 course syllabi. Interdisciplinary co-lecturing is welcome. Please attach a statement listing past teaching experiences, if applicable.)
(5) Certificate of a doctoral degree. (Those who can obtain a doctoral degree by February 1, 2025 are also welcome to apply.)
(6) Undergraduate and graduate transcripts (for those applying for the Assistant Professor position only)
