ICoE-Taipei held the 2019 Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) meeting from 4 to 6 December. Through this annual meeting, members review and comment on the operation of ICoE-Taipei, which is the most important core strategic meeting. Works operated by the center in 2019 and proposals for 2020 were reviewed and commented on in this meeting.

At present, there 8 members on board – which two members retired and one new member joined this year. In addition to the SAB members, John Handmer, Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Integrated Research on Disaster Risk (IRDR), and Charles Erkelens, Operations Director of the International Science Council (ISC), also actively engaged in this meeting and provided valuable insights.
