Future Earth, Taipei, IRDR ICoE-Taipei and ISC ROAP co-organized the 2019 AI on Hi-ASAP. The Collaborators also include Regional Centre for Future Earth in Asia and IGAC-MANGO. Hi-ASAP is a research initiative for interdisciplinary collaboration between atmospheric chemistry, micro-sensor technology, and human health. The objective of the AI on Hi-ASAP is to provide young to mid-career practitioners and researchers from the research groups interested in the Hi-ASAP initiative in Asia and the Pacific region with the knowledge, experience, and hands-on practices about the techniques and methodologies required to conduct comparative research on air pollution sensing and health risks. The courses focused on data collection protocols including sensor operation, data download, and field trip. The participants were well trained and had brought the ideas back to their countries. They also formed seven research groups and completed the research proposals for the Seed Grants of the AI on Hi-ASAP. After review and evaluation, IRDR ICoE-Taipei and ISC ROAP will award four teams (or less) with the grants.
